My FFXIV folder in my onedrive tops out about 100 MB after a couple years of playing on several alts, and more than one account. I figure that is worthwhile because of whats in it. What is in there for the game is all the client side game settings data. Keybinds, hotbars, gear sets, macros, and even item positions in your inventory.
For some reason under 'Local files' there is no option to change install location like with other games. I do have another folder set up and I can move other games.
